Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

I joined VSA my freshman year because I wanted to be proactive in terms of meeting a community of people that I would vibe with especially in a commuter school. What I was met with was something more. I met a club that I became extremely passionate about because of the events, marketing, and most importantly the people. Now as Vice President, I hope to really go all out this year and make VSA thrive like it never has before.

Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

I joined VSA in order to learn more about my culture and become part of a community. The first VSA event I ever attended was a bit intimidating because I didn’t know anyone at Baruch and I didn’t know what to expect. I ended up having a great time and everybody was so welcoming. As I attended more events and became more active, I started to become really passionate about this organization. VSA helped me find my family here at Baruch and I am so grateful for the opportunities and experiences they provided me. I decided to run for E-Board because I want to give back to this organization and carry on the legacy and mission of this club. As Vice President I want to help make VSA grow even further and provide new members with the same experiences that I got from VSA.

Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

I joined VSA because its core values appealed to me. The first VSA event I went to was a game day event during the fall semester of my freshman year. The welcoming and fun environment was what initially drew me in. As I attended more events, I realized how much I enjoyed being surrounded by members who were simultaneously open to getting to know new people and excited to learn about Vietnamese culture. Eventually, I participated in the shadow program and went on to become the 2020-2021 Cultural Chair because I wanted to give back to the club in some shape or form. Thanks to VSA, I grew a lot as a person and I got to meet so many amazing people. I’ve still got a lot more to give, and I’m looking forward to doing so!

Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

I joined VSA because I liked how it was a getaway from classes, homework, and anything stressful. It gave me the chance to meet people, who are now some of my closest friends. I wouldn’t have met them otherwise if it wasn’t for VSA. E-board became an option when my friend asked me to join her and I said yes. As an introvert going into college, VSA welcomed me through their events and I hope to give the same welcoming feeling to new members.

Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

Starting my first year of college during a pandemic isn’t something I looked forward to but the VSA community and past eboard were very welcoming to any and everyone making undergraduate life less of a bore. As I became more involved with the community, there were always mentions of club life before the pandemic and it seemed like those were truly memorable moments which is why I joined eboard as I wanted to help create that vibe for our members.

Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

I joined VSA right at the beginning of my freshman year to find a community and to connect with my heritage. I am grateful that I found so much more. My time as a member and serving as Philanthropy Chair for the 2020-2021 term was one of the most fulfilling experiences despite the challenging year. I’m super excited to continue delivering great events to our amazing members as your newest VPE. Hope to see new and familiar faces soon!

Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

During the convocation, I fell in love with the mascot during the time, Bonkey, as I loved any and all sorts of plushies. I eventually started going to VSA events and didn’t want to miss a single one. Whilst being a member of the club, I joined ACE (where I met my big Sennett) and Gia Dinh. I never expected to be applying for eboard as I wasn’t exactly the extroverted type, but because the members of VSA were like family to me, I wanted to give back to the community that helped make up the first two years of my college life. I hope that being on this year's eboard, not only expands my own horizons but allows me to help expand the horizons of those who wish to join VSA and encourage them the same way that VSA had encouraged me.

Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

I joined VSA because of how friendly and welcoming everyone was. I remember being recruited to VSA on convocation day with my friends and now here I am! VSA has given me so many opportunities to meet new people especially through the ACE and Gia Dinh program. Special shoutout to my big Jason and my twin Lucy! I’m very thankful for VSA because I wouldn’t have met so many wonderful people if I didn’t go out of my comfort zone and join Gia Dinh. I’m glad I applied to be on the e-board because it’ll allow me to share the experience with new members. I hope they will make unforgettable memories through VSA like I did.

Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

I joined VSA because I wanted to find a second family at Baruch College. The first event I went to was Vietnamese 101 during Spring 2020 and I really enjoyed the vibe at the event. Sadly, COVID-19 hit and halted all events, so I came back during Fall 2020 for online events and eventually stayed in VSA since then. I joined E-Board because both my littles are on E-Board and I always had that leadership mindset.

Why did you join VSA and why E-Board?

I joined VSA because Paul was the top recruiter for VSA and needed to keep that streak going. So I wanted to be a good friend and help him out so I had to sacrifice myself and now I’m here :) All jokes aside, I actually joined VSA because of Paul. I wanted to join a club but was unsure which club, but that was when I met VSA. Everyone was so friendly and kind to me and it really made me feel like I was part of the family.

I joined VSA because I loved the atmosphere and people in the club room. I also loved the free food from the events. I joined E-Board in order to bring more food suggestions to the table. I also enjoy being a part of VSA behind the scenes and I want to be more involved in the organization.
